What can be said about Board and Lodge? Well... that they're bloody good! Having recently tried out their luxurious chalet in the Chamonix area (Le Tour) I was treated to good food, superb guiding (thanks Manu!!) and total luxury in terms of accomodation. Rumble and James certainly know how to put on a holiday... if you decide to go don't miss Vallee Blanche (3841m) and the Pas de Chevre, both blinding high altitude backcountry runs!!!! Oh and for all those aches and pains that you inevitably get, they even drive you to thermal spa on the side of a mountain.... mmmmmmmm!!

So how about it ? First out on the mountain straight into fresh, carving the first lines all the way down... and then... straight back up to do it all over again ! Snowboarding has got to be the finest sport on the planet. If you are unable to get over to The States or Canada don't dispair as I have found Europe is just as good. Check out Chamonix, undoubtedley the snowboard capital with more backcountry than you can shake a stick (or snowboard) at! Alternatively try Avoriaz with 650kms of interlinked piste (for about £100 lift pass) shed loads of powder and tree lined runs and at least 4 parks at last count. So what's Snowboard Lodge? Well it's a superb snowboard orientated chalet holiday in Morzine, France, that's what!

Why do we say that?

Having visited them in Morzine since they started a couple of years ago we have had nothing less than an excellent trip... what with perfect accomodation, good grub (& lots of it!), lots of booze and superb guides catering for all levels of experience... that's why we say that!

Last time i spoke to Jim (the chap that runs it!) he informed me that a hot tub had been installed along with a big old trampoline in their new chalet near The Dixie Bar in downtown Morzine.

Can't wait to see if they pulled that one off!
